– Well, in my opinion, Stan Lee is an excellent writer and everything written by Stan should be read. But this specifically? Okay, this is an AU where Vin and JD are kids that actually works in my mind –
Firstly, it is OW and that removes a lot of the complications modern AU’s don’t quite convince me of in the case of two men adopting two kids, so it is easier for me to buy into this story.
Secondly, I love the way Stan portrays them here - little Vin and JD are more the guys I see in canon, smart, independent and cute, loveable respectively for the boys and Josiah is wise and wonderful, Ezra is intuitive and clever, Chris is loving and protective in his own way, and Buck is Buck – not a clown and not a slut – I love the relationships between all 7 in this.
