Why this MUST be read:
Changing gears, because I want to be an equal opprotunity rec giver, here's a Wash pairing. And we're back to slash, since my last rec was het.
(Actually... with how popular I know this series to be among many circles, I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned here before!)
This one I have to appreciate because it makes me buy a pairing that I never in a million years would have expected to believe: Wash/Simon. And yet, during the course of the series, there's also plenty of Wash/Zoe so I don't feel my Wash/Zoe lovin' heart get too up in arms over the affair everybody's favorite blond pilot has with the ship's doctor.
And, even better, it makes you care about all the concerned parties. You hurt when Wash hurts... when Zoe hurts... and even when Simon hurts. And none of them come across as the bad guy when, in this sort of situation, they so easily could.
Definitely worth a read, even if you are a diehard Wash/Zoe 'shipper. Lemon Lashes remains true to all the characters and breathes real life into this series. It's all archived at Firefly's Glow (linked above), so please don't think you have to stop after part one (linked below). :)
