Why this must be read Ezra/Mary is definitely an unusual pairing for this fandom and the author sells it well.
She maps the relationship from sex between two lonely people in the beginning; to genuine caring and commitment at the end. Along the way a believable back story is provided for Ezra, and Mary's marriage and life with Stephen is fleshed out very well. The other members of the Seven play vital parts throughout the story, and Chris' journey in particular keeps the reader reading. Hope you enjoy it...
