Why this must be read: I have just been waiting to rec this. Mikey is a genius. If you're not familiar, Thursday Next is a character created by the author Jasper Fforde. She is a detective, of sorts, who solves crimes in the "world of literature," ie, she can travel through books and meet the characters. Mikey decided to borrow her and send her off to solve a mystery in the world of fanfic, specifically LoM fanfic. Mikey adeptly interweaves characters and references to many LoM fics (and provides handy links to them right in the fic) and creates a story so meta, barmy, and absolutely wonderful, I can't stop laughing every time I read it.
