Fandom: LIFE ON MARS
Pairing: Gene Hunt/Missus (but that's not the focus)

Why this must be read: For the ending. Oh, how I love the ending to this fic. I'd say why but for fear of ruining it. So, let me just say that it's a great angsty!Sam fic with a fantastic Sam and Gene friendship, plus serious head injuries for Sam. And then there's that torturous ending (more painful for the reader than for Sam.)

The author warns for angst, dark themes, and general madness.

I'd read this if it weren't black type on a dark blue background. Does the author actually want people to read her work?

I can understand where you're coming from but you're really missing out as it's an awesome story.

I physically CANNOT read it. My eyes are not the eyes of a teenager. What can I say? Middle age sucks, and these kind of color choices don't help.

Hi there. I apologise for the problem with the colours on my LJ. I never realised they made it so difficult for people to read what's posted there. Thanks for pointing that out, though: I think I'll change the background colour to a tone that's softer on the eye.

Also, my fault for not putting up the story to The Collator's Den sooner. It's just been uploaded, hopefully in a more redable format. If you still want to read it, please go here: There's someone in my head, but it's not me (http://kerfuffle.org/collatorsden/eFiction331/viewstory.php?sid=1087). Thank you.

Thanks for the rec, hon. I really appreciate it. :)

I've also updated my story archive at the Collator's Den, so now you can find it there as well.
