seriousfic gets these characters and she's able to convey all that make them wonderful and good for each other with porn that's hot as hell. She writes with great descriptives that bring the reader into the story. It feels immediate, as though you're present with the characters. Although I love both Kory and Dick, I don't usually ship them - this fic made me do it. I love it pieces.

Cheering up Dick was one of the better parts of life on Earth. She just wished it weren’t called for so much.

When she opened the door, he turned to look as if expecting a threat; moreover, like he was welcoming the excuse to hurt something. When Dick saw it was only her, he went back to doing push-ups. He did that when his anger was too hot to throw into another pursuit, when he had to let it burn down his body and hope it had run its course by the time he collapsed in exhaustion. Kory wondered if he’d die if he didn’t.

“Kinda wanna be alone right now, Kory,” he said in huffs.

Kory stepped over his shirt. He’d left it strewn on the floor. She kicked it toward the clothes hamper. “But you don’t need to be alone.”

Dick paused with his arms holding him up at full extension, teetering on the edge. “I don’t need someone meddling in my business, either, so if you please… shoo.” As he said it, he dropped back down and returned to his pistoning.

She giggled and sat down on their bed. “You know, all that pumping up and down does put one’s mind at somewhere else.” Kory extended a long, tan, nearly bare leg and ran her booted foot over his trapezius muscle. Dick batted it aside as he continued his exercise.
