I was going to say that this was a lovely story, but lovely is just not the right word. It's funny, it has great dialog, and it features two guys who have finally decided that it's time to go forward and who just found the time and place to do so. The set-up is that it happens as a spur-of-the-moment thing, but the text underneath says it's something they both knew was going to happen, and for some time now.

I'm glad *you* got the job of picking one laura jv story, because I'd have had trouble deciding which one.
