Why this must be read:

Her Jim and Blair behave like guys and talk like guys - they *are* guys in the best sense of the word. Although her stories aren't exactly new, her characterization is still one of the most refreshing breaks you can get from girly-Blair and caveman-Jim. The way Jim and Blair come together in this story is probably the least spectacular one you'll ever find and in this case it is a good thing. You can use it anytime as an antidote to an overdose of too much sweet!fic.

I was going to say that this was a lovely story, but lovely is just not the right word. It's funny, it has great dialog, and it features two guys who have finally decided that it's time to go forward and who just found the time and place to do so. The set-up is that it happens as a spur-of-the-moment thing, but the text underneath says it's something they both knew was going to happen, and for some time now.

I'm glad *you* got the job of picking one laura jv story, because I'd have had trouble deciding which one.
