Since this is a Christmas story, I was going to rec it on April 1st, but I didn't want anyone to think the rec was a joke.
This is a finely crafted little story with sharp, wonderful dialogue, woven seamlessly with the action and descriptions to create a scene that feels more like it was shot with a camera than written. It's a lovely example of how much can be told with just a few words.
