Why this vid kicks ass: Because Sylar really wouldn't take it well that his old boyfriend has shacked up and is raising a kid with another guy, while he spent most of the hiatus with his insides hanging out.

The song choice is perfectly creepily obsessive for Sylar. Clear and crisp it feels just like looking at canon at a slight angle. Particularly with some of the M3 clips there's a definite feeling of an outside looking in the POV. Through the song there's a switching between the Mohinder/Sylar relationship and the violence and into the violence in their relationship.

The spinning and turning motion so follows to the loops in the music, and the cropping of clips and fades hold the focus of the vid on Mohinder, Sylar and the made-family -and brains- standing between them.

Of the good - great song choice, excellent cutting to music, and yes, the feel of the show is there. But I have to say that while this is a very enjoyable vid, the POV is very difficult to follow - it could easily have been a Mohinder POV, a Sylar POV, or even, in some sections, Matt. I was confused a bit, and only your notes helped make the vidder's intentions clear. But thanks for the rec anyway; it was nice to see such an unusual pairing of source material and music.
