The real shine of this piece is most definitely the Kaylee voice. Just as in canon, she's delightfully pragmatic, earnestly straightforward, and unabashedly earthy---and every bit as adorable and funny as she ought to be. Even without ever seeing a single episode of Firefly, I could still love this Kaylee.
