Anniversary by Sheffield (PG)

Fandom: THE SENTINEL
Pairing: none, gen
Length: ~1,250 words
Author on LJ: unknown
Author Website: Sheffield's Fic on LJ
Why this must be read:

This is a lovely little fic that I first came across when I discovered The Sentinel 10th Anniversary site, which was set up to display art and stories that had been created in honor of the 10th anniversary of when the show was first aired. The site is unavailable right now; it's under construction and under new management, but things should be back up very soon. In the meantime, fortunately, you can find this gem on Sheffield's Fic LJ. Her vision of where the boys are ten years later is both funny and tender, but the banter between them is as sharp as ever. And, as usual, Jim needs a little help finding what's right in front of his face.

Excerpt:

Jim stood back, mentally, for a moment and thought seriously about that one. The Sandburg vibe? Aw hell, yes, after ten years of it, it was too late now to start bitching about the language. The Sandburg Vibe was in his blood now, was the music of the spheres that his whole life chimed to, was in the food that he ate and the air that he breathed.

Wait a minute…

He had just thought something important…
