Personal Casualty by Wistful, PG

Why this must be read

Wistful is the second "relatively new" writer in TS-fandom I want to rec here. Her "Personal Casualty" takes place after TSbyBS with Blair as Jim's permanent official partner. It is emotionally dark, Jim's feelings are painfully realistic described and it has no happy end. It's so well written that I couldn't shrug it off but desperately wanted to *fix* that situation (not necessarily the story *g*) because it simply felt so wrong and it hurt to watch them.

Well, Elaine apparently also couldn't stand it and wrote two sequels to it, giving a somewhat "happier" ending to the events. They can be found at the 852 prospect archive, just use the search engine.

With this last rec I say good bye and I'm looking forward to next month' recs.

No, no, no! You cannot just rec a stomp you into little pieces and make you hurt like Jim with a fist in his mouth, biting down on the grief and just - arrr! Two sequels, but I cannot find them through the search engine, only another story called Backwash. Where? Where?

-Dale, pleading.

The sequels are called Cut Both Ways and Triage, and both are written by Elaine, *not* Wistful (Elaine had the same reaction to the stories that you did, and with Wistful's permission, wrote two sequels).

I'd link you directly to the stories, but 852 is loading very slowly this morning so I can't get the links. Check the search engine later under Elaine's name and you'll find them.

Kiss, kiss, KISS! Thank you so much! I thought Elaine was just Wistful's actual name, being daft in the head and all.

Running to 852 now.

Awww! Thank you, so much! I don't think I've ever been rec'd before... What a wonderful surprise!
