Why this must be read: In my mind, there is one thing missing from the otherwise replete world of Star Wars: Anakin and Padmé genfic. We've got angst, we've got smut, we've got angsty smut, we've got smutty angst -- but honest-to-god, funny, non-fluffy genfic? Nah. As fandom seems to think, Anakin and Padmé were merely lovers. Friends? Not so much. No sex that way.

Well, my dear fialleril has gone against all that and written this glorious little piece of genfic. It's set during AOTC, when Padmé and Anakin visit the Naberries on Naboo. It could even be canon. It involves humour, a culture clash between the slave from Tatooine and the queen of Naboo (oh come on, don't tell me you thought galactic culture was homogenous), UST, angsty memories, families and innuendo. There's also some excellent characterisation, some genuinely touching moments, some angst and a lot of laughs. It portrays a scene between two budding friends, not just two ill-fated lovers. And that, in this fandom at least, is something that's extremely rare to find.

Anakin tells Padmé's nieces about sex. And Padmé finds out.
