Echoes of the Past by Candy Apple

Why this must be read:
I love Candy Apple’s work. I can easily recommend any story she’s written, in all of the fandoms she writes in.
While investigating a murder in Bay City, Starsky is reminded about his father’s death and finds that he wants to know more—specifically the reason his father was killed and who shot him. He and Hutch return to Starsky’s childhood home in Brooklyn and begin investigating.
What follows is a painful journey for Starsky. He reveals some ugly truths about his father to Hutch, and they both discover even uglier truths about Starsky’s family history. And, just like after Starsky was shot, Hutch is there for him, giving Starsky all the love he needs during this dark time.
Echoes of the Past, which is part of the Slash Virtual Season 5 by Zebra3 Productions, is an excellent story, on par with all of Candy Apple’s works, but it is not an easy story to read.
Life isn’t easy.
