Why this must be read: I think the author's summary is enticing enough: When Shawn Spencer is six months old, his mother spontaneously combusts over his cradle. Psych is a crazy-light hearted show. The most angst we ever get is when Shawn stubs his toe and Gus isn't there to hear him whine about it. (Okay, there was that incident with Shawn's mom, but that was a season finale!) Supernatural, on the other hand, is totally down with the angst. Combining the two is just about the most awesome idea ever, and it's done really, really well here. Shawn's powers of observations aren't years of training—they're a gift from a man with yellow eyes.
