This is a beautiful story, because, as the title implies, it is a frank look at the truths that Buffy needs to face in her relationship with Spike, both the ugly ones and the more honest ones. This story is very well written and is an excellent exploration of Buffy's character, letting her be neither a saint nor completely broken. Simply put, it is a great read and I highly recommend it.
