VID REC: Bandom - Toxic
Fandom: Bandom (My Chemical Romance)
Vidder:
thejumpcut
Musical Artist: Britney Spears
Pairing: Frank Iero/Gerard Way
Author Website: thejumpcut's YouTube Channel
Why this vid kicks ass:
It's the last Friday of August, so tonight is is Friday Night Drive-In, a.k.a. Fanvid day. Woo hoo! I have a good one for you, and it's a YouTube vid. No, don't run away! I promise it's worth seeing!
The YouTube location and liberal use of amateur camera footage is actually completely appropriate and right for a Bandom vid. That reflects the Bandom fan's experience and frame of reference, you know?
Now, this vid is a couple of years old, so most Bandom fans will have seen it, along with the footage that was linked so many times. But I encourage everyone to check it out, even if you have only the faintest idea of who these people are. I think the band's energy and the sheer joy of performing all shine through. I was surprised that this hadn't been rec'd in
crack_van before. (The other MCR fanvid rec posted in this community is fantastic, too.)
