Why this must be read: A tale of another job that's gone horribly wrong told from the perspective of each character on-board. The voices are spot-on and the names for each of the characters are ingenius. It's a great way to tell a story (when it's done right) having each character take a section successively, each of them contributing something unique to the story. River's section is the one I love the most. It completely captures what I think a trip inside her brain would be like. Brilliant stream-of-consciousness mixed with an absolute certainty of what must be done and yet it all is very child-like. This is actually a remix of a one-shot, which is the reason Mal's perspective isn't given here. I'll also include the original story b/c it's such a wonderful character study.
