Why this must be read:
Nick doesn't mess around with anyone over thirty. Kevin is very confused.

I'm going to be exerting some serious self-control in order not to make this month All Zoicite, All The Time, but I couldn't resist starting with one of her stories. She writes the Boys with such clarity and affection. I love the structure of Punctae, the way you just get glimpses of their life but such a clear idea of their relationships. And the way that Kevin understands Nick so well, except when it comes to Nick's feelings about him.

"I love him," Howie told Kevin once. Brian was there too, which had made the confession a bit surprising. Howie liked to do things one person at a time. Brian nodded and moved closer to Howie, rubbing his shoulders and kissing his cheek.

"We all do," Kevin said. He wondered if Howie had told Nick, something that Kevin had been afraid to do. He wondered what Nick said.

It was really something of a mess they’d all gotten themselves into.
