The Song of Chris Kirkpatrick by Pen
Fandom: POPSLASH
Pairing: Chris-centric
Length: poem
Author on LJ:
pensnest
Author Website: Pen's Nest
Why this must be read: When someone models a popslash poem on Longfellow's The Song of Hiawatha, you know it has to be good. And I'm so glad I get to rec this!
This is by far the best ode to popslash I have ever read, perhaps even one of the best poems I've ever read, oddly enough. Pen enshrines in artful language the legend of Chris Kirkpatrick and his sparkly mates, ingenious characterizations and wittiness abound! There are so many lines I wish I could quote from this, but you'll just have to read it!
Long ago, but not forgotten,
in the days of pop and sparkle
in the days of mesh and glitter
In the days that are behind us,
lived the mighty Chris Kirkpatrick...
