Why this must be read: In one word - angst. A post TS by BS two part story, written with shattering insight and glittering precision, we get to see Blair in a new career as a grant writer, and in his true calling of 'teacher'. Then we are brought inside Jim during his reconstruction and reincarnation and in his search for his 'Chief'. Populated with wonderful OCs and loving portraits of Naomi and Simon, a well thought-out and involving background plot finally reunites our two heroes, each with their 'new' eyes.

On the guarded tablet was writ by Fate,
A double self for each man ere born;
Who shall love his love and shall hate his hate.
Who shall praise his praise and shall scorn his scorn.
Enduring aye, to the bitter end,
And man's other man shall be called a friend.

---Sir Richard Francis Burton; an elegy for John Hanning Speke

Anomie meaning:
noun; as coined by Emile Durkheim, a state of 'normlessness', i.e. the condition of being only loosely integrated in a society so that the individual lacks interpersonal ties. Also, personal unrest; alienation and anxiety that comes from a lack of purpose or a loss of ideals.

Anomie the first part of "Alethia"

and part two is here: Anahata

Anahata:
In India, the heart --called Anahata-- is the center of compassion, altruism, forgiveness and acceptance. Within the Hindu tradition, it is in the heart that love manifests and gives us a sense of responsibility and pure behavior toward others. The word 'Anahata' means 'unstruck sound'.
