Fairly OddParents Fandom Overview
Here's the Fairly OddParents Fandom Overview!
Fairly OddParents Fandom Overview

Main Characters
Timmy (short for Timothy) Tiberius Turner

Timmy Turner is the protagonist of Fairly OddParents. He's a ten year-old boy with two fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, and a fairy godbrother, Poof. Timmy is reckless and has a low attention span, causing him to make unwise wishes, which often fuel the plots of episodes. He started out as a sweet kid in the first seasons, but in the later seasons, he became a jerk, which bothered most of the fandom.
Cosmo & Wanda
Cosmo

Cosmo is Timmy's fairy godfather. Just like Timmy, he has a low attention span. He's an idiot - literally! He's married to Wanda, Timmy's fairy godmother. In later seasons, his love for Wanda has decreased, and he has insulted Wanda a lot. That is one reason that most of the fandom dislikes the later seasons. However, in the earlier seasons, he was smitten with Wanda, and did not insult her at all. His characterization has suffered the most in the later seasons of the show.
Wanda

Wanda is Timmy's fairy godmother. She cares a lot about Timmy, Cosmo and Poof's and frequently nags them in order to keep them safe etc. . She is usually the one to tell Timmy how unwise his wishes are. She's married to Cosmo.
Poof

Poof is Timmy's fairy godbrother. He is the son of Cosmo & Wanda, as well as the first fairy baby born in ten thousand years. When he laughs, good things happen. When he cries, bad things happen. When he burps, lightning happens. When he hiccups, natural disasters happen. His farts cause reality to go out of control and then be restored back
Overview
Fairly OddParents doesn't have much continuity, so it doesn't have many major plot points or story arcs. However, it does have TV movies and slight story arches around a few of villains.
The first TV movie was Abracatastrophe. The plot was that Timmy got a rule-free magic muffin on Fairyversary and Mr. Crocker tried to take it from Timmy so he could rule the world. Crocker eventually got it, after AJ's monkey, Bippy, wished the world was ruled by monkeys. Timmy beat Crocker by revealing his fairies, then wishing them back with his magic muffin.
Fairly OddParents had two Christmas specials, Christmas Every Day and Wishmas. The first one, Christmas Every Day, was about Timmy wishing Christmas was everyday, and the problems that ended up resulting from it. The next one, Wishmas, started when Santa gave everyone the wrong gifts and Timmy wished that they could get wish coupons from magic mailmen so they could wish for what they wanted.
Channel Chasers, the next TV movie, was about Timmy's wish for a magical remote that gave him the ability to go into television. Timmy's evil babysitter, Vicky found one of the remotes and attempted to use it to take over the world using Dictator Week, a show on the History Channel. Timmy beat her in Maho Mushi, the show that he was obsessed with.
There were three crossover TV movies with Jimmy Neutron, but since I'm not in the JN fandom, and have only watched one of them, I won't summarize them.
Next came Fairy Idol, a TV movie with Norm the Genie as the villain. In the movie, he had a plan to become a fairy godparent, by winning a music competition called Fairy Idol, an obvious parody of American Idol. Timmy defeated him by tricking him into quitting his job as a fairy godparent.
Next was Fairly OddBaby, the TV movie about the birth of Poof. Timmy wished for him when his fairies revealed that they longed for a baby. He was pursued by the Anti-Fairies and Pixies, since they wanted to use him to destroy or rule the world. He beat them with Poof's above-mentioned farting ability. In 2009, in a 30 min. special called Anti-Poof, his Anti-Fairy counterpart, Foop, was born.
Then came a trilogy of TV movies known as Wishology. Wishology is about Timmy's quest to defeat the Darkness. In that trilogy, Timmy/Trixie was briefly made canon. Timmy beat the Darkness by shooting light from several Wands, turning it into the Kindness.

Small nitpick, when you say -> However, in the later seasons, he was smitten with Wanda, and did not insult her at all. That should be earlier I'm guessing?

Yeah. Thanks for pointing that out!
