Boondock Saints Updated Fandom Overview
Boondock Saints was a cult classic from 1999. Now back with a sequel featuring most of the original cast this little cult classic about a pair of Irish fraternal twins who victimize the mob is getting introduced to a whole new generation of very exited fans.
First our old favorites!
Connor and Murphy MacManus!
Connor and Murphy are a pair of Irish fraternal twins whose main way of communication is arguing. Have no fear the boys are still the boys. If the years have done anything for them it’s made them closer. Connor is portrayed by Sean Patrick Flanery (right) and Murphy is portrayed by Norman Reedus (left).
Il Duce is also in the new movie. BDS II sheds more light on his past but I won’t go into that here. Il Duce is portrayed by Billy Connolly.
Everyone’s favorite Boston detectives are also on the case! Dolly is portrayed by David Ferry (far left), while Duffy is portrayed by Brian Mahoney (middle) and Greenly is portrayed by Bob Marley (far right).
The Supid Freakin Rope and Rambo knife also both make apperences.
New Characters
Eunice Bloom (left) is the boys’ new guardian angel. She works for the FBI and her job is to figure out the case find the evidence and bring The Saints in. This would be all well and good if she wasn’t Paul Smecker’s protégé. She is portrayed by Julie Benz. Romeo is as Murphy says “That’s our Mexican!” He's the new sidekick. He gets them into the country and helps out on the jobs claiming he has always been a ‘big fan.'
New bad guy! Judd Nelson plays Concezio Yakavetta who will be the boys’ new minor annoyance.
The Roman is the shady new bad guy and that not much is known about. He is portrayed by Peter Fonda.
Short Movie Summery (cause I don’t want to ruin it): This movie is about the Twins getting called back to Boston by Concezio Yakavetta who is a little bit upset about them executing his father 8 years earlier. They then vow to fill “every mother f*cker who had anything to do with it.” So it’s back to Boston!
Fandom : Fandom is mostly slash and/or twincest. The twins have a bond that people like to write about weather they be kids, adults, teens, intimate or not. Everyone else gets in on the slashing action to with a few threesome fics on the ‘net featuring twins/Smecker or a detective (sometimes two). Every once in a while one of the Detectives will get a twin (mostly Murphy/Duffy) and sometimes we even see a Smecker/Greenly fic or two. There isn’t that much het in this fandom but it does exist (if it involves the boys then it’s mostly in the teen years). The fandom is small but growing since the release of the second movie Boondock Saints II: All Saint Day.

I was nervous going into the movie because you just never know with sequels. Worried for nothing. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a movie so much. Loved the music, the characters, the humor, the swearing, the action. Brilliant!
And thank you! Around this time of year, I can't help but put Santa hats on just about everything ;)

I was a little nervous to but it so so worth it!! That's part f the reason I put the knife and rope up there was to let people know that it is as good as the first.
