Norm's Story by x-Oscena-x (G)
I'm unknown20troper, and I'm driving the
crack_van for Fairly OddParents, since I was dismayed by the lack of recs for it when I discovered this community. My favourite character is Norm the Genie, and I'm a multi-shipper that mostly likes - loves - slash. My recs will reflect that to an extent, though I will rec fanfics that are neither Norm the Genie or slash-based, of course.
Fandom: FAIRLY ODDPARENTS
Character: Norm the Genie
Length: 627 words
Author on LJ: She doesn't have one.
Author Website: x-Oscena-x @ FF.Net
Why this must be read:
Because Norm's Story got me into my Norm the Genie obsession. Another reason is that it keeps Norm the Genie in character while showing a more sympathetic side to him. Another reason is that it's the set-up for Wishes, one of the best Norm the Genie fanfics ever (which is a WIP, unfortunately so I can't recommend it). Another reason is that it inspired one of my fanfics; got me wondering about what happened in his past - Norm's Story is vague about the specific events, but that works well stylistically for it.
Thousands of years of life, thousands of years of servitude. Thousands of years of the same monotonous cycle.
Fate was cruel, especially for a genie.
