The Competition by serene_quill (PG-13)
Fandom: EUREKA
Pairing: Jack Carter/Tess Fontana, Tess Fontana/Allison Blake, one-sided mention of Nathan Stark/Jack Carter, Allison Blake/Jack Carter, background Nathan Stark/Tess Fontana
Length: approx. 700 words
Author on LJ:
serene_quill
Author Website: I believe
serene_quill is her writing journal. Any separate website is unknown.
Why this must be read: I'd been looking for Allison/Tess, since I thought the femmeslash was obvious, but it was surprisingly difficult to find. This story is such an original premise and much more interesting than a reciprocal relationship would be.
Now, I want to know more about Nathan/Tess at that conference and Tess's attempt to question Jo (but, like, in a sequel, since the compactness of this story is part of its effectiveness).
"The Competition" should become a classic of Eureka fanfiction.
