Here is one of the best Cuddy-is-pregnant fics in House fandom, very well-researched and genuinely moving. Cuddy is the perfect blend of vulnerable and determined as she weighs her options and makes her choice.

Excerpt: Sometimes she feels joy at the subtle changes her body is already starting to undergo: the swelling of her breasts, the tone of her skin, the hunger cravings that assail her without warning. Triumph, that her body has defied the averages, proven its resilience: shown that it can bring life into the world on its own. Quiet pride at what she knows is nothing more than basic biology and maybe—maybe—an ounce of luck.

At other times, though, the trepidation is like a pillow pressed over her face, suffocating the happiness she wants so badly to feel. She is pregnant, but she's not out of the woods yet; in fact, she's barely even entered the woods, and there are long, dark pathways ahead, tangled with thorny underbrush, traversed by yellow-eyed wolves.
