Emphasis should be on fics that you feel are especially outstanding and accessible examples of your fandom, e.g. it plays on a repeated theme in the show, it's a fandom or a personal favourite, it was a controversial fic, it's good smut. Whatever.

Warnings are not required beyond what the author has posted on their own stories.

Hi, just trying to post my first rec and it's telling me that I don't have posting access. I have joined the community. It gives me the option to post, let's me complete the posting form, but won't accept my submission. Am I doing something wrong? I also can't tag the post, tag box empty.

Sorry, I hadn't realised that I was only watching the community. I did read the guidelines a while ago, but obviously my old brain ain't what it used to be. As I said in my first post, I would probably crash and burn, and I managed that before I even started. Will read again later today and have another go.
