Why this must be read:
stories that feature original characters are not usually well-recieved in The Sentinel fandom (or any fandom for that matter) and it's always a risk to write them so few of the really good and really talented authors do. Suisan, lucky for us, took the risk. She wrote this story for a challenge - the It Was A Dark And Stormy Night Challenge - which features a requirement that one character be a beautiful, mysterious woman. Suisan took the challenge and ran with it in this fic. It is a well written case story with a fascinating b-plot featuring the original character. Suisan creates a fantastic story here and launches a fantastic series. It's well worth the read.
