Why this must be read:

Thanks to their origin story in the G1 cartoon, Starscream/Skyfire is practically canon. The two Transformers were partners in the Science Academy before the war. During their deep space explorations, Skyfire was lost on an ice-age planet and Starscream returned to Cybertron in disgrace. Shortly thereafter, he joined the Decepticons. Fast forward 4 million years, and the discovery of a Transformer in the polar icecap of Earth. Skyfire joins the Decepticons at the urging of his 'old friend' but cannot accept their ways and defects to join the Autobots. Cue fanfic.

This novel length work takes G1 episodes and works to incorporate the relationship of Starscream and Skyfire in a believable way. You will buy the way the motivations and reactions of the characters unfold.
