Hi, my name is Dawnebeth and I'm driving the red and white Starsky and Hutch van for January. This is my first time, and I've never had a good sense of direction, so we'll veer all over the fandom, with gen and slash recs.

The story starts out in a hot, claustrophobic church where Starsky and Hutch have to accompany a prisoner to a funeral, and then--here comes the angst. More hot, claustrophobic places as Starsky waits for Hutch. Starsky's inner voice is terrific--his total faith in his partner never wavers as he reviews what exactly brought them to this time and place.

Do you have Rich Text selected (rather than HTML) when you are in the posting interface? Can you experiment in your own LJ with a new post to see if it works? You can always delete this entry and repost if it does.

Looks good this morning. I feel your pain, re:technological issue. But this was a great firt story rec. I ususally pass on Gen, but figured since you recced it, it must be good. Plus I usually like E. Lowry's stuff.

Try adding a < br > after each line to make the line breaks. (remove the spaces...)

yay. Okay, I think I have mastered it--just posted rec number two. I was half prepared, I had picked out some stories and some authors ahead of time.
