This is short for fic, but not foramory_vain, who creates awesomeness with drabbles. Her experience with drabbles serves her well here, as she paints a clear scene and characterization in only a few words. The Ryan she creates here is fascinatingly not a 'nice guy' (which may be why this is one of the very few times a second person POV has not sent me clicking the back button).
Everyone leads you, Troy. You don’t say it aloud, but it’s true, and the only difference you’ve ever been able to see between Gabriella and Sharpay is in grasp of subtlety and fashion sense. But you can’t say that, Sharpay got the guts and the glamour and you wound up with tact, so instead you smile, self-deprecating, and “worst case scenario, we could put me in a dress.”
