Why this must be read:

For all that the premise is slightly crack (Sam pulling a 21 Jump Street at East High), this story pulled me in. The character voices are fantastic, both for Sam and Dean and for the HSM characters, and the actual plot is not far off of what one might see in an episode of Supernatural. This is one of those crossovers that I never expected to work, but that I enjoyed immensely. Depending on your take on Sam, you might have to suspend your disbelief a smidge to see him slashed with Ryan, but the characterizations are drawn well enough that I don't think most readers will have a problem.



"I. Hate. You." But Sam wasn't even looking at him anymore. His tone of voice was pure loathing, but as he looked out at the sprawling brick building, all Dean could read in the set of his shoulders was fear.

All right, maybe just misery.

With a deep sigh of resignation, Sam finally swung his long legs out onto the pavement, and stood up to his full 6'4" height. He turned back and grabbed his backpack, then hauled it onto his shoulder without even a last glare back at Dean. "East High. Home of the Wildcats," he muttered, and rolled his eyes before setting out for the concrete steps which were already teeming with... high school kids. And lots of them.

"Hey!" Dean waited until Sam turned back, then he shot him a grin which could match Lilith for pure evil. "Try to blend in!"

It was actually hard for me, because I also wanted to rec "Gabriella Montez Totally Puts Out", but this one won out (because I am a complete wimp about embarrassing situations, and "Gabriella Montez Totally Puts Out" often made me hide my face as I read. Oh, boys!).
