Why this must be read: I love ds_flashfiction. When I first started reading Due South fic, I spent hours there just going through the memories and reading eacha nd every challenge. It is a true treasure, and I highly recommended doing the same. You never know what fic treasures you will discover. This is an older story from the Scars Challenge. I love the stark narrative. So much emotion is packed into each vignette and you will be amazed at the impact a single sentence can have.


Once, Stella would've cried, he thought, turning on the shower and waiting for the steam. Now she wouldn't even know.

That hurt.

Somehow, remembering Fraser's voice helped. His face. How he'd shouted, "Ray!" when the bullet hit.
