Why this must be read: Gene is in denial over his attraction to Sam and Sam sets out to prove Gene does want him. This is a wonderful piece of writing that ranges from being light-hearted to erotic to disturbing. It shows a Sam who does whatever is needed to make his point and a Gene whose desires and determination not to give in are warring against each other. Fantastic Gene and Sam characterization and vivid imagery make this dark but delicious story that you should read right now.
The author warns for: Very faint shading of non-con/dubious consent around the edges. Nothing hard core.

Sam had kissed him.
And, for a few gloriously mad moments, Gene had kissed him back, leaning in heavily, pressing Sam into the wall.
Gene had sobered suddenly, sinking his right fist into Sam’s gut with much more force than that behind his usual attempts to gain Sam’s attention. As Sam knees had given out, Gene’s follow through punch had connected with his jaw and Sam had dropped like a lead weight onto the dirty tarmac. Gene had spat the word, “Queer!” at him and walked away.
