Why this must be read: So... Children of Earth. Some of it? Incredibly good. Other bits of it? Really stupid. (The team really didn't have a contingency plan in place, in case they couldn't get back to the Hub? Even after Kiss Kiss Bang Bang? Really?)
Still, if we didn't have these minor inconveniences in canon, we wouldn't have wonderful What ifs like this one byveronicaluv, in which the 4-5-6 still come calling, but then the Torchwood team make a whole different set of choices. The outcome is by turns action packed, angsty, incredibly tense, and rather awesome.
