Why this must be read: There's a lot of Watchmen fic where Adrian is eaten away by guilt. That isn't usually literal. This is an incredibly creepy, psychologically convincing piece of horror that gets its effect without OTT gore or violence. The straightforward style works perfectly with the trippy-weird subject matter and growing sense of dread. Honestly, the whole thing's so perfectly done that quoting just one bit wouldn't do it justice.
