Why this must be read:

This is a little different from what I usually rec but I was in the mood for some angst. Rest assured that it does have a happy ending though! No human being is perfect—and following that reason then one could assume that no Vulcan is always perfect.  In the Reboot!Verse, T’Pring dies with Vulcan…breaking her bond with Spock. Being the good little Vulcan who is still young, he listens to his father who tells him to completely shield himself—not taking into account the other beings around him…namely one particular human.  I enjoyed this story very much, it has an awesome Uhura, and a great McCoy/Kirk friendship, as well as some well written angst and a happy resolution.  Kirk and Spock both are a little OOC in the beginning but it doesn’t take away from the great story.
