Small Fandom Overview: Star Trek RPS

*waves*  hi guys!  Sorry I'm a bit late!!  I'm driving the Star Trek RPF van this month, because its awesome!!

Star Trek RPS fandom exploded last summer, thanks to the release of Star Trek in May.  Cast shenanigans and hilarious interviews led to most of it, and the pop up of multiple comms. 

The main players seem to be the new cast  (Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Zach Quinto, Chris Pine, John Cho, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Bruce Greenwood and Eric Bana) but the fandom really embraces any and all Trek cast members, from all the franchises.

Really the fics run the gambit from AUs to on-set hook ups, to future-fics.  We've got it all! :-)

The main places for fic are:

trek_rpf_kink  -- the kink meme for anon posting of any and all requests and fic
startrek_rps  -- the slash community for any and all pairings
reboot_rpf  -- the slash or het community for the new 2009 cast

pinto_fic  -- pairing specific comm for Chris Pine/Zachary Quinto
karlton_fic  -- pairing specific comm for Karl Urban/Anton Yelchin
pinecity -- pairing specific comm for Chris Pine/Karl Urban
shatnoy_rpf  -- pairing specific comm for William Shatner/Leonard Nimoy, a pairing that got quite a resurgence post movie

crackenterprise -- recc'ing comm that does RPF recs about once a cycle
trekrpfexchange -- an exchange comm for strictly RPF fics
