Howdy y'all! I'm [livejournal.com profile] jaune_chat and I'll be driving the Heroes crack van this month! I pretty much like it all, slash, gen, het, crack, AUs, crossovers, so I will be recommending a wide variety of things for you to read. I hope you enjoy the ride!

Fandom: HEROES
Pairing: Peter/Nathan, Peter/Nathan/OFC
Length: 18,824 words
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] 47_trek_47 (Trekker)
Author Website: Unexpected Places
Why this must be read: It's a week before Nathan's wedding, and he and Peter are having a night on the town... This is a fantastically woven story showing Nathan and Peter's relationship and how everything can both change and stay the same over the course of a one-night stand. What I love most about it is Peter's love for Nathan both as a brother and as something more. There are many wonderful brother moments, like Peter wondering how he can make Nathan tell him how he can be so casually charming, and many instances of sibiling rivalry. You can feel their entire family history in the little looks, conversation, and memory moments.

Peter's desperate love of Nathan permeates the entire story, from his desperate self-denial and self-castigation at the beginning, to his willingness to go along with the idea of a threesome just because it will give him a chance to be close to Nathan, to what happens during, and after, when it's just the two of them together. The desperate tone of the whole story gives it a tragic air, and the physical love is searingly hot and only enhanced by the emotions in the piece. Trekker pulls you into Peter's world from the first paragraph and never lets go until the final word.
