Why this must be read: This story delighted me to no end when I discovered it, because I'd been hankering for stories about Bob and Buck's partnership. I love the familiarity between them. We see them bickering over who's going to catch the poacher they're chasing, and the dialogue is just delightful. There's also a bittersweet note connected to Bob's relationship with his son. Greensilver has written two more stories about Bob and Buck, and I very much recommend them, too.
