Why this must be read: Because it's a nice look at the fascinating old-friend/new-friend dynamic between Buck, Chris and Vin. Principally a Vin writer, in this little piece the author gives us Buck’s point of view on the Chris and Vin bond, and Mr. Wilmington is wonderfully roguish and appealing. SoDak7 has a real facility with dialogue and slips easily in and out of the differing speech patterns and characteristics of our 19th century boys. Cute little touch with Vin and his blanket, too :)
