If you remember, a few months ago, there was a huge outpouring of creative work by fandom in exchange for donations made for Haitian relief. Bravenewcentury, a talented and prolific author, wrote this for that fundraiser.

This is wonderful little post-episode for How The Ghosts Stole Christmas which has been fodder for many fanfic writers in this fandom. The episode leaves us with Mulder and Scully opening their Christmas presents to each other and this picks up not long after. To me, this story gives us a perfect snapshot into their relationship at this point in the series, best friends and something more that neither one has quite identified yet. This story is short and leaves as much unsaid as it says and that is its true genius.
