Hi! I'm wendelah1 and I'm back again driving the van for The X-Files. I like plot and great writing. I don't ship anyone, I read everything.

Why this must be read: One of the things I hear people asking for is more good early season fic, especially for the pilot. This is a great short story about the events of the pilot, but it isn't about what we saw. It's about the things that happened off-screen, during the years before, the years after. It's also about the banality of evil.

She also wrote a great post-ep for "All Things," a story called "Subaqueous." You should read it, too.

I will gladly change it, although it is linked all over the place still on crack_van. That's where I found the connection, going back through the posts to 2004.
