Fandom overview: Canadian Actor RPF
Here is a quick and dirty guide to Canadian Actor RPF. This is by no means complete, comprehensive or static...
The first thing to remember is that by saying "Canadian Actor RPF" I really don't mean all Canadian actors. I mean actors who are part of the Canadian Six Degrees (C6D) fandoms.
What are the C6D fandoms?
Loosely defined, this is a large group of related fandoms that have some connection to the television show due South. This is an expansion of what is called Six Degrees of due South (dS6D). With dS6D, anything that has a regular participant of due South in it is generally considered fair game. C6D encompasses dS6D, is a little broader and a lot harder to define. It's anything that is "six-degree-ish" of due South, but centers around a small set of (mostly) Canadian artists:
Paul Gross, David Marciano, Callum Keith Rennie, Hugh Dillon, Don McKeller, Bruce McDonald, and Daniel MacIvor.
Other artists include Peter Outerbridge, Tracy Wright, Molly Parker, Sandra Oh, James Allodi and others.
The main pairing is Callum/Hugh, but Paul/Martha, Paul/Martha/Callum, Paul/Callum, Callum/Molly and others are not unheard of. While Battlestar Galactica was on, there was a bit of Callum/Katee. Other C6D actors sometimes show up in fics as well.
Some communities you need to check out, if you're interested in Canadian Actor RPF are
ckr_actorfic and
china_shop's community for her RPF fics
tinhat_valley. Additional communities that might be of interest are
c6d_universe,
hughdillon and
canrockcock.
rpf_canada is a community for all Canadian actors, not just the ones that are part of C6D. AO3 has a Canadian Actor RPF tag, but again it encompasses all Canadian Actors, not just C6D ones.
A good percentage of due South writers (but not all) have written RPF at some point, so check out their fic lists, as well.
Let's start with the little black dress of Canadian Actor RPF - Callum Keith Rennie (CKR). He pairs well with everyone, and that's because he's been in just about everything that's been filmed in Canada. Not kidding, btw. Recently he's been spotted in Flashforward, Californication, 24, and Gunless. We love him, a lot.

Next we have Paul Gross. Multitalented actor, writer, director, singer and songwriter. Dorky and funny and too smart for his own good, he has a true passion for the arts. Recent projects include Gunless, the ill-fated Eastwick and Passchendaele, the very near-and-dear to him WWI story, plus a ton of behind-the-scenes producing.

Paul's wife, Martha Burns, a brilliant actor in her own right, with a love of the theater. Beautiful and smart, she helped found the Soulpepper theater troupe in Toronto and spends considerable amount of time and energy helping disadvantaged children and young adults. She has turned her attention to writing and directing, and recently she won a best supporting actress Genie for her work in Love & Savagery.

Hugh Dillon was once the bad boy of the Canadian music scene with the Headstones. They rocked and rolled and tore up venues with their high energy shows from 1987 - 2003. They were awesome: great music combined with amazing lyrics. You will note that a lot of C6D fans find Headstones lyrics to be inspirational and they make great titles. During this time, Hugh toyed with acting, appearing in Bruce McDonald's Dance Me Outside in 1995 and then Hard Core Logo in 1996 with Callum Keith Rennie. To prepare for filming Hard Core Logo, CKR toured with the Headstones and a lot of RPF is based on that.

Hugh formed the short-lived Hugh Dillon Redemption Choir before moving into acting seriously, starring in two critically acclaimed series (Flashpoint and Durham County) while still managing to put out a solo album last year. Articulate and thoughtful, but very much still a punk on the inside, Hugh tends to be a C6D favorite.

Don McKellar is a wonderfully talented writer, director, actor and filmmaker. An ubiquitous fixture in Canadian cinema, he's best remembered for his nutty artisté Darren Nichols in Slings & Arrows and for Curtis the tv addict in Twitch City.

Other artists that show up in RPF stories:
Molly Parker
Enrico Colantoni
Sandra Oh
Peter Outerbridge
James Allodi
ETA:
Dean McDermott
David Paetkau

Basically, it's fanfic starring real people. In this case, it's Canadian actors.

And LOL, Callum is the C6D RPF bicycle, for real. What does he expect going around having that kind of chemistry with all of his costars, assorted weapons, nearby potted plants...

That must be the say of the month if not of the year or more. Hilarious, and so true at the same time! <3
Other than that, your guide is perfect. Major characters involved, accurate and sweet comment on each one... Perfect!
Is it tinhat or what- you love one, you love the other because there's feeling between all of them? I do not know about other RPF 6D fandoms so I cannot compare.
