Why this must be read:
In my opinion, the best thing to come out of the second X-Files movie was the sudden burst of creativity, both from retired authors finding new inspiration and new voices who had never before posted. I consider Amal to be the finest of those new writers. In a short space of time, she's become one of my all-time favorite authors. This fic showcases her talent for packing an emotional punch (Please note the author's warnings!) into beautiful, sharp and vividly smart prose.
