Why this must be read:
This is a sweet story about two friends who are utterly comfortable with each other realising that they want to be something more, again. It's set during Nick's solo career. And there are pierced nipples, and fun sex, and it's just like riding a bicycle.

Nick was always a gentle lover, like he might break Howie if he kissed him too hard or thrust with too much force. It had bugged Howie with other partners, the idea that being small meant you were fragile, but Nick had made him feel special for his size, like he was precious.

Sometimes Howie misses feeling precious.

He looks at Nick, pushing his long hair back from his face as he nods at something Tommy is saying, and thinks that maybe he misses more than that.
