Hello, my name’s Drayce and I’m driving the newly resurrected Ford Transit – beware the zombie van! – for The Professionals this month. We’re an old fandom but a lively one and I hope I manage to find a few stories to tempt you to climb up in the van. Hold on tight, we’ll be making a few handbrake turns.

Why this must be read:
PFL undertook to write a coda for every single one of the 57 episodes of The Professionals while the fandom was engaged in a weekly re-watch of the series. That’s impressive enough but the real reason to read them is just how bloody good they are. All of her stories are worth reading, the lads are always in character, always competent and deadly and so beautifully snarky with it but I chose to rec the coda because they explore the lads developing relationship across the entire span of the series.

Whether you’re watching the series for the first time (go on, you won’t be sorry) or planning a re-watch the coda series is the perfect accompaniment. Enjoy!

It's so great seeing our lads back in the van! Thanks, Drayce. Great rec, too. The Codas are fabulous. I remember when she was posting them every week and it was such a treat to read them as the series unfolded. Now it's wonderful having them gathered up in one place to enjoy whilst watching the eps.
