hlh_shortcuts tale describe it as a slash story inside out. The smutty but not over the top sex comes at the start, and from there, we get a load of the things that made Highlander great: friendship, tenderness, flashbacks to times long ago and more recent, and guest appearances from Amanda, Rebecca, and Darius. This is another Methos-centric tale, though we get a good dose of Duncan and his point of view as well. More than anything, this story seems to speak to the secrets all immortals hold in its portrayal of Methos knowing of Duncan much longer than previously imagined and being drawn to him through time.
