Why this must be read:
Monica became one of my favorite writer in Highlander very early. When I found the Domesticity series (no, it's not a series about Duncan and Methos doing the laundry to quote Monica) it was up to part 5. Monica left and came back to the fandom to write the last part of the series in 2001.
Set after Ahriman but written before Avatar aired. Monica takes the double quickening (the 100th episode that launch a thousands stories) makes it the founding stone to her version of the defeat of the millennium demon. Insecure Duncan, very witty Methos, a wonderful Joe and a non-annoying Richie, the stories are from different points of view. I've read it again this weekend, I found that it has what are now cliches of Highlander stories : Duncan and Methos working at the university; the telepathic link between them; etc. Cliches become cliches for a reason. When used intelligently they work.
It's a witty tale, it's a hot PWP, it's part horror story, it's part romance. That's the beauty of Domesticity for me.
